My Family

I have been married for 11 years this August 2009 to my husband Mr. C.  Our life has been wonderful.  We are like peas and carrots.  Most of the time.  We have two beautiful kids, Little B-5 and Big A-1.  We live out in the country in the upstate of SC.  We have almost 3 acres and are trying our hand at beginning homesteading.  A little at a time.  So far our “farm” consists of a garden, fruit trees/vines and chickens, ducks and guineas.  Here is the rundown on what lives outside our house.

Cat:

  • Bunny (pre-1999 model, physically challenged white/tabby  “cabbit”)

Guineas:

  • No names yet.  Actually, I can’t even tell the five of them apart, except one is a hen and the other four are cocks.

Chickens:

  • 3 Americanas (one rooster-Pretty, Spot and Little Bit)
  • 6 Dominickers (one rooster-Maybe, Stub and 4 un-identifiable hens)
  • 5 Rhode Island Reds
  • Update February 2010 –We’ve got chicks!  Two each of: Americanas, Silver-Laced Wyandottes, Black Australorps, Cuckoo Marans, Buff Orphingtons for ten total.
