I Love A Good Garden

I am so excited about our garden this year. We have already:
- corn
- peppers
- kale
- arugula
- onions
- okra
- squash
- zucchini
- cucumbers
- tomatoes
- pole beans
- sugar snap peas
I still hope to find time to plant some cantalope, watermelon and pumpkin later this weekend. I’m sure that I will come up with some other things that we forgot as well. I have yet to find peanuts, popcorn and honeydew seeds. I will just have to look for them next year. Maybe I will be more prepared.

I have hopes of planting some herbs in pots, but the one that we love the most is cilantro. My Momma told me that it is hard to keep alive once it gets hot, so by the time your tomatoes have come in, the cilantro is dead! I may just have to try anyway.

We have gone in with our neighbors on the garden. We’ve got our own little commune going on down here. They bought some of the seeds and plants and I am doing the planting and watering. We are going to have so much produce to share between us. I can’t wait!

What a large garden….it will be so rewarding to harvest it all and eat it. I’ve enjoyed reading your blog and look forward to future posts.
